Product Description
Ductile iron flange/Backing Ring is a high-strength and high-toughness pipe connection component, widely used in oil, natural gas, chemical industry, water supply, sewage treatment and building pipe systems. Its core material is Ductile Iron. Through special casting process and heat treatment technology, it has both the corrosion resistance of cast iron and the mechanical properties close to steel. It is especially suitable for pipe connection and sealing under high pressure, high load and complex working conditions.
Ductile Iron Backing Ring( Flanges) are used with HDPE/PP stub end and flange adaptors, and have adavantages of higher strength, less weight and anti corrosion.etc.

Product Features
Excellent mechanical properties
The tensile strength (≥400MPa) and elongation (≥12%) of ductile iron are much higher than those of ordinary cast iron, close to the level of carbon steel, and can withstand higher pressure and impact loads.
Good plasticity and toughness reduce the risk of brittle fracture.
Excellent corrosion resistance
The surface can be galvanized, epoxy coated or sprayed to further resist acid, alkali, seawater and soil corrosion and extend service life.
High sealing performance
The flange sealing surface (such as RF plane, FF convex surface, etc.) is precisely processed and cooperates with the gasket to ensure no leakage.
The back ring design can enhance the stability of the flange connection, disperse the bolt stress, and prevent pipe deformation.
Flexible adaptability
It complies with international standards (such as ANSI, DIN, JIS, GB, etc.) and can be used with pipes of different materials (steel pipes, HDPE pipes, etc.).
