Product Description

HDPE Electrofusion End Cap is a kind of pipe connector, mainly used for pipe end sealing. It is connected by electrofusion, i.e., through the pre-buried resistance wire electrofusion fittings set in the pipe or piping components, through the electric current, the resistance wire heat to make the pipe and fittings on the connecting part of the melt, under the action of melting pressure to connect the interface on both sides of the resin molecular chain rewinding, cooling to achieve the purpose of the connection process. Under the action of the melting pressure, the resin molecular chain on both sides of the connection interface is rewound, and the process of connection is achieved after cooling. This type of connection is suitable for the end sealing of pipelines to ensure the integrity and sealing of the pipeline system.

In addition, the electrofusion end cap also has the characteristics of flame retardant aging resistance, in line with national standards, suitable for city gas direct burial PE plastic ball valves and other application scenarios, to enhance the safety and durability of the pipeline system!

Difference between HDPE Electrofusion End Cap and Hot Melt End Cap

HDPE End Cap can be divided into HDPE Electrofusion End Cap and HDPE Fusion End Cap. Hot fusion connection and electrofusion connection have their own advantages and disadvantages. Heat fusion connection does not use electrofusion fittings, is low cost, and simple operation, but vulnerable to environmental and human factors, and higher investment in equipment. Electrofusion connection is applicable to all sizes of pipes, low investment in equipment, high construction efficiency, and high reliability of welded joints, but the cost is higher.

Heat fusion connection

Is through the heating of the two end surfaces of the welding material, so that it reaches the melting temperature, rapid fitting, and cooling under a certain pressure, to achieve the purpose of fusion.

The advantages of this connection are:

1, because do not use electrofusion fittings, so can reduce the cost of the project;

2, the connection process is simple and easy to learn.

But there are certain disadvantages.

1, vulnerable to environmental and human factors affect the fusion effect;

2, the hot melt equipment investment is higher than the electrofusion welding machine, and volume, weight; capacitor docking

Electrofusion connection

Is pre-embedded in the electrofusion pipe fittings on the inner surface of the resistance wire energized heat, so that the inner surface of the electrofusion pipe fittings and the outer surface of the socket pipe to reach the melting temperature, and at the same time generate pressure, after cooling, fusion into one, to achieve fusion purpose.

The advantages of this connection are:

1, applicable to all specifications size pipe;

2, low investment in equipment, low maintenance costs;

3, connection operation is simple and easy to grasp, high construction efficiency;

4, keep the pipe wall smooth, does not affect the flow;

5, High reliability of welded joints.

The only disadvantage is the need for pipe fittings connection, increasing costs.
