PE80 Pipe Introduction

PE80 Pipe refers to a gas pipeline made of PE80-grade polyethylene material. ‌PE80 refers to a polyethylene material grade where the ‘80’ signifies a Minimum Required Strength (MRS) of 8.0 MPa — a measure of the material’s long-term hydrostatic performance at 20°C over 50 years.

Puhui HDPE gas pipe adopts high-quality polyethylene raw materials from world-leading raw material suppliers such as Borealis, Shanghai Petrochemical, and Sinopec ,and produce rigorously according to EN 1555 standard, it have been widely applied not only in the field of gas transmission and distribution, ,but also for various gaseous media such as liquefied petroleum gas (gaseous) and artificial gas.

The high toughness and light weight of Puhui HDPE gas pipe increases the cost-effective and reliable solution required for gas distribution systems and it is usually classified into PE80 and PE100 according to the grade of raw materials used. The division of raw material grades is determined by long-term hydrostatic strength, resistance to slow crack growth and resistance to rapid cracking.

PE Pipe Grade

Internationally, the materials of polyethylene pipe (PE pipe) are divided into multiple grades, including PE32, PE40, PE63, PE80, and PE100, among which PE80 and PE100 are mainly used for gas pipes and water pipes. ‌PE80 pipe is widely used in gas transmission systems due to its excellent chemical corrosion resistance, good flexibility, and durability. ‌In addition, PE80 material also has good low-temperature resistance, can maintain stable performance in various environments, and ensures the safety and reliability of gas transmission.

PE80 and PE100 are two commonly used grades, which are divided according to the minimum required strength (MRS) of the material. Specifically: ‌

The MRS of PE80 reaches 8MPa.

The MRS of PE100 reaches 10MPa.
