What is pe-rt pipe?
Pert pipe is a pipe material made of polyethylene material with excellent heat resistance, pressure resistance and corrosion resistance. It is widely used in water supply, heating, floor heating, air conditioning, gas and other fields. It is easy to install and repair due to its good flexibility and plasticity.
PE-RT tubing application field
pe-rt pipe is a high-performance pipe widely used in many fields, with high-temperature resistance, impact resistance, environmental protection and other characteristics.
The main application areas of PERT pipe include:
1. Floor heating system: PERT pipe is used to transport hot water in floor heating system, which is safe, reliable, energy-saving and environmentally friendly. Its softness and fatigue resistance can meet the more complex pipeline design of floor heating.
2. HVAC system: In the HVAC system, PERT pipe is used to transport hot and cold water, which can ensure the operation of the pipeline system, avoid heat loss, and reduce energy consumption. 3. Water supply system: PERT pipe is used to transport drinking water and industrial water in the water supply system. Its health, environmental protection, high flow, and low toxicity can meet the requirements of safety, hygiene, and high efficiency.
3. Industrial pipeline: In the industrial field, PERT pipe is used to transport chemical media, water supply, oil products, etc. Its corrosion resistance and high-temperature performance ensure the smooth and safe operation of industrial production.
4. Urban thermal transformation: PERT pipe has been widely used in urban thermal transformation. It has good high and low temperature resistance and is suitable for secondary pipe network transformation of heating system.
Hot-melt method
The hot-melt method of PERT pipe is mainly to heat and melt the two ends of the pipe through the electric hot-melt connection technology, and then quickly connect them to make them welded together under a certain pressure. The specific steps are as follows:
1. Cut the pipe: Cut the PERT pipe to be connected to the required length, and chamfer and clean the two ends of the pipe to ensure that the surface of the pipe is clean.
2. Preheat welding tool: Preheat the Pipe Welding Machine to the specified temperature according to the pipe specifications.
3. Insert the pipe into the welding tool: Insert the PERT pipe with chamfers and cleanse at both ends into the socket of the welding tool to put the pipe in close contact with the heating surface of the welding tool.
4. Weld the pipe: After the pipe has been in contact with the heating surface of the welding tool for a period of time, pull out the pipe, quickly align the two ends of the pipe, and connect them immediately, so that they are welded together under a certain pressure.
5. Cooling and pressure maintenance: After the welding is completed, the welding part is cooled with a cooling device, and a certain connection pressure is maintained during the cooling process so that the welding points of the pipes can be fully combined to form a complete connection.
6. Check the connection quality: After cooling, check whether there is leakage, cracking, etc. at the connection point to ensure the connection quality.
Difference between PE-RT Pipe and PPR Pipe
The difference between PE-RT tubing and PPR pipe is mainly reflected in heat resistance, elasticity, thermal conductivity and weldability.
1. Heat resistance: The heat resistance of the PERT pipe is slightly lower than that of the PPR pipe. This means that the use of PERT pipe is limited in high-temperature environments, while PPR pipe can work stably at a higher temperature.
2. Elasticity: The elasticity of the PPR pipe reaches 850MPA, while that of the PERT pipe is 550MPA. This means that PPR pipe is less likely to deform when under pressure, while PERT pipe is relatively softer and easier to install.
3. Thermal conductivity: The thermal conductivity of PPR pipe is 0.24, while the thermal conductivity of PERT pipe reaches 0.42. Therefore, if used for floor heating pipes, PERT pipes dissipate heat better, but when used for hot water pipes, the surface temperature of PERT pipes is higher and may not be suitable for direct contact.
4. Weldability: PPR pipes are easier to weld because their flanging is regular and the operation is simpler. In contrast, the flanging of PERT pipes is irregular, which may be more complicated to weld and prone to oxidation reactions.
Features
1. Lightweight, easy to transport and install: PE-RT pipe is light, easy to carry and install, and has good flexibility, which makes it easy and economical to lay.
2. High and low temperature resistance: PERT pipes have good high and low temperature resistance and a wide range of operating temperatures.
3. Strong impact resistance: The impact resistance of PERT pipes is 5 times that of PVC-U pipes, and is suitable for use in various environments.
4. Environmentally friendly and non-toxic: PE-RT tubing does not add any toxic additives during the production process, the inner wall is smooth, does not scale, does not breed bacteria, and can be safely used in drinking water transportation and other fields.
5. Chemical corrosion resistance: PERT pipes have good chemical corrosion resistance, do not rust, and have a long service life.
6. Various connection methods: PERT pipes can be connected by hot melt and mechanical connection, the connection is reliable and leak-free
